About Us
Who We Are:
Our Non-Profit Organization is comprised of a group of volunteers that are sincerely dedicated to rescuing companion animals and farm animals. The unnecessary destruction of innocent loving dogs, cats and other domesticated animals is a major concern, and the driving force of our actions. In addition to saving the lives of these animals, we are committed to nursing them back to good health and addressing any behavioral challenges which may affect their adopt ability. We also recognize and focus on the critical importance of educating the public about the necessity to spay and neuter their companion.
Realizing that the reason most animals are placed in or returned to shelters is because of unacceptable behavior, we strongly encourage and actively participate in training programs for both the animals and their owners.
The tremendous benefits that animals freely give to humankind cannot be overstated. When possible, we will assist the elderly and handicapped who may no longer be fully capable of caring for their pets and providing them with a secure living environment. We will arrange visits for the elderly and handicapped with their beloved animal friends while finding loving homes for them. We participate in Hospice interactions with our most kind and and gentle companion animals. We are committed to finding compatible permanent homes for our rescued friends.
We strive to provide housing at our facilities, that use earth friendly and recycled materials to help maintain optimal health without toxins.
The animals also receive excellent optimal nutrition feed, that does not include animal byproduct nor the toxins which are in many types of pet foods and for the best health of your fur friend, we strongly encourage you do the same.
If you, or someone you know is interested in adopting an animal, or assisting in any other way, please contact us. Our mission can continue through generous donations from concerned and caring individuals.
If you want to start a Sanctuary for Companion Animals or Farm Animals Please Contact us. You are welcome to come to our Demonstration Facilities in Flagstaff
Susinn Annsley Founder & President 702-385-4404
Susinn is a certified nutritional consultant whose family has owned Siemens Health Foods in Las Vegas for over 50 years. Susinn began running Siemens 15 years ago and eventually became the sole owner. As the business prospered she began giving advice on supplements for Dogs and Cats needing Health Care... which eventually led to starting Earth Angels Animal Sanctuary. She started adopting Cats and Dogs and finding placement homes while volunteering with other rescue organizations.
Susinn being vegetarian was a strong reason for the no kill agreement when we started taking in farm animals. We use chicken eggs as a protein supplement for the Dogs and Cats (who are also on vegetarian diets but require more protein). These eggs are unfertilized. The Hens eat various sprouts and vegetables of which 80% of the nutrients go into the eggs, working with a hen's natural ability to transform the vegetables into natural vitamin supplements that even help Cats live healthier on a vegetarian diet.
When it comes to health care for your companion animals or for yourself and your loved ones, we encourage you to contact Siemens... and remember that part of the proceeds from Siemens supports Earth Angels Animal Sanctuary.
Dhani Agdeppa Operations Director
702-496-8525
Dhani had started Chicks and Kids Farm Animal Rescue unintentionally when he was leasing a formerly organic farm on an acre in Oxnard, CA. His intention was to raise Chickens for Vitamin Nutrient Eggs. Due to his association with his Tribal Medicine Practices, a Biology Class from Rio Mesa High School requested him to help stop the spraying of pesticides on the strawberry fields around the High School. Dhani said he would look into the matter. While he studied the effects of the chickens he was raising and building a housing area for the birds out of recycled building materials from Channel Islands University with help from the Local 585 Labors Union, people began bringing him other farm animals. To that effort, he obtained a license from the county for an animal rescue to allow the public to visit. He started learning more about the desperation of Farm Animals especially ones that people would get for their children at Easter, who eventually would grow up and not be able to live in the city and had to be re homed.
Dhani is very active with his working with the animals with various healing techniques, as well as building shelters for the animals. He is very skilled with designing shelters that not only are aesthetically pleasing but also incorporate permaculture concepts
Chicks and Kids was leasing a property which eventually became a place of controversy due to a highway expansion. This resulted in the whole operation being moved to Cuyama. Then, in 2006 Chicks and Kids Farm Animal Rescue merged with Earth Angels Animal Sanctuary which basically had only been working with
Companion Animals.
Dhani has a huge interest in healing and through his studies has been developing techniques for animals and humans to interact in a variety of therapeutic ways. His main success has been with patients from St. Johns Hospital visiting the animals and renewing their hope for life.
Brooke Doherty Flagstaff Managing Director

Brooke has been involved with rescuing animals for many years. She has a huge compassion for animals and she is a major benefit to Earth Angels as well as other causes that need someone who really puts their heart into their projects. She is currently a huge part of the Fundraising Event at the Green Room in Flagstaff.
Chris Lucas Board Member

Chris has been working with EAAS for many years. He has always been there when our funding has been low. After his normal job he is out getting food for the animals in Las Vegas, and making sure the animals get their exercise. On Holidays he drives out to Flagstaff to help with the building and checks the animals for any health needs. If not for his generous contributions, we would not have our Flagstaff Location.
Brian Thorne Board Member

Brian has spent countless hours working with sick and injured animals. He has a gentleness when it comes to defenseless animals and will go out of his way to stand up for our friends who do not have a voice.
